About adventures as we continue this phase of life referred to as "retirement". We will be traveling in our pick-up & camper. I am taking along some quilt projects. We hope to find many easy bike rides and hikes plus lots of beautiful scenery. Every once in a while we stop for a few days to work with Habitat for Humanity, volunteering on home construction projects.

Wildlife Encounter
While exploring one of the narrow slots in the formations at Cathedral Rocks Gorge we heard the crying of a young raven in a nest sheltered above us. Mother Raven came and landed nearby scolding us a bit for coming near her family.

On the road again
This post is from a new ap on my iPhone. We are starting our 3rd day. Heading to Elko from a nice little BLM campground outside of BattleMountain NV. Stayed at Goose lake by Lakeview Oregon the first night. Passed Deep Creek Falls on way. Here is a picture I hope :0)

Answering the question "What quilt is on your bed ?"
This is my "Turning 20" quilt that is really a "Turning 30" quilt because it took 30 fat quarters to make.
I posted with my phone still figuring this blog stuff out... Bonnie over at Quiltville's Quips & Snips is having a link up party so I decided to join in.
So far over 40 quilters have posted/linked their quilt pic answers to her Monday question.
